fort Qu'Appelle & district lions club

A Service organization that builds a community and assists those in need..."WE SERVE"

About the Fort Qu’Appelle & District Lions Club
We’ve proudly served the Qu’Appelle Valley since 1961. Today, our club includes 38 members who support local projects, volunteer efforts, and fundraising initiatives that strengthen our community.

What We Do
We focus on hands-on service and community fundraising. Each year, proceeds from our events are reinvested into Lions projects and community support—locally and beyond.  WE SERVE

Signature Events
Some of our regular and annual events include:
  • Annual Seniors’ Christmas Supper
  • Echo Lake Road Race (May long weekend)
  • July 1st Parade
  • Fort Qu’Pelican River Race (July 1st) — We drop 10,000 pelicans into the Qu’Appelle River to see which one crosses the finish line first. Half of gross sales is paid out in prize money, and the remaining proceeds support Lions projects and community donations.

Community Support & Ongoing Projects
Our club supports many organizations and initiatives in the Valley, including:
  • Christmas Food Drive
  • Jerry Rheum Memorial and Volunteer Ambulance Association Scholarships
  • Kidsmen Park clean-up and development
  • Fort Knox Jr. Hockey Team

  • Legion Texas Hold’em (volunteer dealers)
  • Concession support at the Midsummers Art Festival
  • Food preparation support for the Friendship Centre on Truth and Reconciliation Day
